Peta bidang tanah merupakan salah satu implementasi SIG berbasis persil / bidang. Peta bidang tanah merupakan informasi spasial yang memiliki tingkat kedetilan yang sangat tinggi. Dengan tingkat kedetilan yang sangat tinggi peta bidang tanah sangat ideal untuk berbagai analisis spasial untuk berbagai keperluan, antara lain: pengawasan penggunaan tanah [1], perencanaan tata guna tanah dan tata ruang wilayah [2]–[4], pemodelan spatio-temporal dalam SIP [5], pengawasan pasar tanah, bank tanah dan tanah sebagai jaminan kredit [6], pengawasan lingkungan [7].
